Fans Call for Chike’s Cancellation After Alleged Affair with Frank Edoho’s Ex-Wife

Television presenter Frank Edoho has confirmed that he and his second wife, Sandra Onyenucheya, are separated and involved in divorce proceedings, following several days of discussion on social media.

In a statement posted on Instagram on 14 May, Edoho said he had dealt with the situation privately for nearly two years.

“Over the past few days, I’ve received an outpouring of kind messages, prayers, concern, and goodwill regarding my separation and ongoing divorce proceedings,” he wrote.

“While I understand that the public is only just becoming aware of this chapter, I have lived through it privately for quite some time now.”

After the statement was published, Onyenucheya shared a series of Instagram posts in which she accused Edoho of infidelity, emotional abuse, and financial irresponsibility during their marriage.

She alleged that Edoho maintained relationships with other women during the marriage and claimed she carried significant financial responsibilities in the home, including travel and family-related expenses.

Among the names mentioned in her posts was Tega Dominic, who later denied the allegation through an Instagram story.

“It’s all cap,” Dominic wrote, using a slang expression commonly understood to mean false.

Edoho has not publicly responded in detail to the allegations made by his estranged wife.

Online attention later shifted to Chike after social media users linked him to Onyenucheya. The speculation followed Instagram story posts in which both shared the song “You’re the Closest to Heaven” by Dean Lewis.

Neither Onyenucheya nor Chike has publicly confirmed a relationship.

Chike later shared an Instagram video captioned “Game Time”, a post that drew further attention amid the online discussion.

He also posted a statement on his verified X account, which was later pinned to the top of his profile. In the post, the singer denied knowingly becoming involved with a married woman and described the situation as a music collaboration.

“It was just a music collab,” he wrote.

The post added:

“We had a consensual s*x which I didn’t even know she was married, y’all stop dragging me and leave me tf alone.”

The statement quickly generated reactions online, with some users questioning the explanation while others defended the singer.

The allegations and speculation generated extensive discussion on X, formerly Twitter, where users debated the conduct of those involved and the public handling of the dispute.

One user criticized the singer strongly, writing:

“Chike is fvcking canceled. That’s an animal behavior.”

The user added:

“To be planning with the wife of someone you are sleeping with on how to cover her tracks while laughing with that same person is the betrayal of the century.”

Another user argued that the situation involved “completely mutual” decisions and questioned why blame was directed mainly at one person.

Some users defended Onyenucheya’s decision to speak publicly, while others criticized the circulation of alleged voice notes and screenshots connected to the matter.

As of Friday, 15 May, none of the allegations Onyenucheya made against Edoho had been independently verified.
