A viral image claiming that Tems and Justin Bieber shared a kiss on stage at Coachella 2026 has been confirmed to be false, following clarifications from attendees and video evidence from the event.
The image began circulating on Sunday, April 12, 2026, shortly after Bieber’s headline performance at the festival held in Indio, California. It was first amplified by a social media post on X, where a user wrote, “Justin Bieber kissed Tems live on stage during her Coachella performance and the crowd went wild… Why don’t they respect their partners?” The post quickly gained traction, prompting criticism directed at Bieber, who is married to Hailey Bieber.
However, multiple videos recorded at the venue showed no such moment. Instead, Bieber welcomed Tems on stage, held her hand briefly, and twirled her as part of the performance. The two artists, alongside Wizkid, performed “Essence (Remix)”, their 2021 collaboration.
In fact, while performing “Everything Hallelujah,” Justin gave a sweet shout-out to his wife, calling:
“Hailey, babe, hallelujah… Baby Jack, hallelujah.”
Cameras at the festival showed Hailey Bieber in the crowd responding by waving and blowing a kiss.
According to a source close to the couple, Hailey played a role in Bieber’s acceptance of the headlining slot.
The source said: “Hailey was a big influence on Justin’s decision to headline Coachella… She nudged him and is always in his corner, hyping him up.”
Bieber, 32, delivered a 34-song set that attendees described as one of his most extensive live performances in recent years.
Bieber’s performance focused largely on songs from his 2025 albums, Swag and Swag II.
At the same time, he included older songs such as “Baby” and “I’m the One.”
Dressed in a red hoodie and sunglasses, he opened with “All I Can Take” and incorporated fan interaction by allowing song requests through a live YouTube chat.
The performance included appearances from The Kid Laroi, who joined Bieber for “Stay,” as well as Wizkid and Tems, whose segment drew a strong response from the crowd.
Coachella, officially known as the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, has been held annually since 1999 and attracts more than 100,000 attendees per day across two weekends in April. Bieber is scheduled to return to the Coachella stage on April 18, with further guest appearances expected.
Celebrity attendance remained a visible part of the event. Among those spotted during Bieber’s set were Kim Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Timothée Chalamet, Oscar-nominated actor Jacob Elordi, former Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, alongside his celebrity girlfriend, Katy Perry, Teyana Taylor, Damson Idris, K-Pop Demon Hunters stars, Lisa and Rosé from Blackpink, amongst others. Musicians, including Adele, Lana Del Rey, and Lizzo, were also seen in the crowd.
