FAAN Strengthens Safety Measures at International Airports to Curb Ebola Spread

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has said it has reinforced safety protocols at international airports nationwide to prevent the spread of the Ebola virus.

The agency gave the assurance in a statement addressing travellers and the public, noting that measures have been stepped up at arrival and departure points across the country.

FAAN did not specify the exact protocols being implemented but said the actions are aimed at enhancing screening, surveillance, and response capacity in line with public health guidelines.

Airports remain a key point of entry for international passengers, and authorities have previously used them as part of Nigeria’s response to infectious disease outbreaks.
