Big Brother Naija season 10 winner Imisi and former co-housemate Kola drew fresh attention to their friendship at the premiere of Folagbade Banks’ new film on Wednesday, September 2, in Lagos.
The pair arrived together holding hands, and a video circulating online showed a brief kiss between them on the red carpet.
Imisi and Kola were subjects of similar speculation during their time on the show. Imisi has said in the past that the two are not romantically involved, but the new footage raised questions among viewers.
Separately, presenter Faith Adewale, who hosted a live television segment with cast members at the same event, accused Imisi of interrupting his broadcast. In a post on X on September 3, Faith wrote: “You walked onto a set where I was interviewing people on live TV and chose to do this.” She added, “Someday people will realize you are the villain in our story,” and linked to the full interview on YouTube.
A fan, identified on X as Hera Pereira, wrote that the segment was originally planned to feature both Imisi and Kola, but Imisi declined to take part. According to the post, Faith continued the interview alone for a period before Kola joined, and the conversation went on to include promotion of Kola’s upcoming film.
During the interview, Imisi spoke in a manner that several online viewers described as difficult to follow. In that footage, she is seen addressing a loudspeaker positioned behind her before those nearby direct her attention to the correct spot.
Reaction on X was divided by Thursday afternoon. Some users questioned Imisi’s conduct directly. A user wrote: “Is she always on drugs?” Another called her association with Kola into question and criticized her behavior as unbecoming. A third user referenced past incidents from the show, writing that Imisi’s conduct was worse than that of a previous contestant who was disqualified for harassment on air.
Other users defended Imisi and pushed back on Faith’s characterization. AbisoyeDoyin wrote to Faith: “You have your audience. Tell it without trying to be perfect yourself, cus you are human too.” One fan disputed the framing that Imisi disrupted the broadcast unprompted, stating she had first declined the interview and was later asked to join. Another user, cutehoneyjanie, argued Imisi’s win over a rival contestant already settled the record, writing that the season’s outcome was on file regardless of ongoing criticism.
Some replies took a lighter tone, with one fan writing that the clip initially looked like planned content rather than a genuine incident. Another fan credited Imisi’s appearance with boosting attention on Faith’s interview.

Several Nigerians have also raised questions about the closeness between Imisi and Kola given the differing public reception each receives. An X user wrote that the two “seem so different” in personality that she did not understand the basis of their friendship.
