AFC Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke and Aston Villa manager Unai Emery have scooped the Best Player and Coach awards for December.
Solanke beat close rivals of Trent Alexander Arnold, Cole Palmer, Mohammed Kudus, Matheus Cunha, Hueng Min Son, and Marcos Senesi to the coveted award following his six goals for last month.
Unai Emery was voted the best manager for December after beating Jürgen Klopp, David Moyes, and Andoni Iraola, guiding Aston Villa to four terrific victories including Arsenal and Manchester City.
Solanke is only the fourth Bournemouth player or manager to win a Premier League monthly award. Eddie Howe won the Barclays Manager of the Month three times between 2017 and 2018, while Charlie Daniels and Jermain Defoe won the Goal of the Month prize in August and December 2017 respectively.
Unai Emery who has now won his second Manager of the Month award has led Villa in a tremendous form this season, they’re currently sitting on the second spot in the Premier League table.
Only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah have scored more Premier League goals than Solanke who has netted 12 so far this season.
