Liverpool displayed resilience and determination, securing a late victory against Brentford thanks to two stoppage-time goals from Darwin Núñez.

Meanwhile, Fulham, Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace also claimed away wins in their respective matches.

The first half at the Brentford Community Stadium ended goalless despite Liverpool dominating possession with 59% to Brentford’s 41%.

Both sides struggled to convert opportunities into goals. However, Núñez, introduced in the 65th minute alongside Andrew Robertson for Luis Díaz and Kostas Tsimikas, made the decisive impact.

His late brace sealed the 2-0 win for Liverpool, keeping them top of the table with 50 points and a seven-point cushion over Arsenal, who face Aston Villa later today at the Emirates Stadium.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth stunned Newcastle with a 4-1 victory at St. James’ Park, featuring a hat-trick from Justin Kluivert. The result narrowed Bournemouth’s gap to Newcastle to just one point, while Newcastle missed the chance to close in on Nottingham Forest.

Fulham claimed a 2-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, with goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traoré.

At the London Stadium, Crystal Palace overcame 10-man West Ham with Jean-Philippe Mateta scoring a second-half brace to secure a vital away win.
