AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola and Fulham star Rodrigo Muniz have been voted the best manager and player for March in the English Premier League.

Iraola beat his rivals Jürgen Klopp, Mikel Arteta, and Postecoglou to claim the prestigious award for the first time in an unbeaten campaign where he won three matches and drew the other. Iraola became Bournemouth’s second manager to win the award, following Eddie Howe, who won it three times with the club in 2017 and 2018 before joining their current club, Newcastle United.

“This award is for the whole club. I’m the one in charge, but we have had a good run of results in March.

“The ones that probably deserve it more are the players because they are the ones that give us the chance to be successful and get the results.

“Luton was a special game. We have had a few games where we were close to not winning them and scored late.” Iraola said.

Brazilian and Fulham Striker Muniz, who was the player’s version for the March award, became just the third player in Fulham history to scoop the award. He beat his rivals after netting four goals as well as producing an assist.

“Without my teammates, the staff, everyone here, this is impossible.

“It’s special. The last two-and-a-half years were difficult. Now I’m adapted to England. I feel at home here.” Muniz told Fulham’s official website.
