Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus is facing public criticism after she shared a makeup artist’s phone number online, urging her followers to call the woman and complain.
Badmus shared on Thursday, 25 June 2026 that she had booked the makeup artist for an important event and sent several reminders ahead of the date, but the artist failed to show up. In a post on X, Badmus published the woman’s contact details and told her followers to “tell her wetin no good.”
The makeup artist later responded, saying she had not received any payment to confirm the booking. “I have been receiving several threatening messages which is becoming concerning. My business runs on confirmed bookings and payment validates appointments. I didn’t receive any payment for the job,” she said.
The post drew criticism from X users, many of whom accused Badmus of exposing a private citizen to harassment. User @nmesomachianita wrote: “In a working country she would have been sued for dropping someone’s number like that.”
Others questioned Badmus’s loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, whose administration she has publicly supported. User @lindaog_e wrote: “When Tinubu dey use our eye see pepper you give us he number make we talk our mind.”
Fellow actress Funke Akindele also weighed in. She told Badmus that her reaction was wrong and reminded her that she had warned her before about fighting online.
Not all reactions were critical. Some users said they contacted the makeup artist not to harass her but to wish her well, with one, @akullionaire, writing: “She done give the woman customers.”
Badmus has not issued a public statement addressing the criticism directly.
