Super Eagles Striker Emmanuel Emenike is seeking divine help to stay injury free for the World Cup which will take place in Brazil in June.
The striker suffered an injury in the run-up of the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil last year. It is based on this former episode, that Emenike prays not experience a repeat of the injury which will keep him away from the World Cup.
It is his wish to stay healthy and play for the Super Eagles in the forthcoming football tournament.
Emenike said, “Here’s hoping I can make up for it at the World Cup. It is an occasion that obviously means a great deal to me. Events don’t come any bigger. It is going to be amazing. I pray that I don’t get injured this time. I injured my knee weeks before the FIFA Confederations Cup tournament and unfortunately had to pull out”.
At the last Nations Cup in South Africa, Emenike scored four vital goals that helped in the triumph of the Super Eagles.
