Eintracht Frankfurt has signed Nigerian striker, Rafiu Durosinmi from Viktoria Plzen

German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt has completed the signing of Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi for a fee of around €9m. According to transfer Sport journalist Fabrizio Romano, Rafiu, who plays with Viktoria Plzen is to arrive in Germany today for his medical ahead of his January switch.

 

“Eintracht Frankfurt completed the deal for Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi to join the club for €9m from Viktoria Plzen.

Durosinmi arrives on Thursday as called by BILD — medical already booked.”

The 20-year-old striker who was born in Lagos, Nigeria had played at the local level before making his switch to Karvina in the Czech Republic — where he started from the youth level of the club. In the following season, he gained a promotion to the senior team of Karvina, he made 34 caps and netted 6 times. The next season, he was loaned to Viktoria Plzen and scored 10 goals in 26 appearances.

Rafiu can play as a center forward, a second striker, and a right-winger effectively, he’s known for his height and technical ability.
