Eid: Nigeria Can Be Better if We Work Together —Jonathan Tells Nigerians

Former Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan, has called on Nigerians to work together and take collective action to make the country better amid current national challenges.

Jonathan made the appeal on Wednesday in his 2026 Eid-el-Kabir message to Nigerians, urging citizens to embrace unity, peace, and national development.

According to him, Nigeria is facing difficulties that require both prayers and practical efforts from citizens to overcome, particularly in the areas of peace and security.

He stressed the importance of national unity, encouraging Nigerians to see the country’s diversity as a source of strength rather than division.

Jonathan expressed optimism that Nigeria can overcome its challenges if citizens remain committed to working together for a better future.

“Today, our nation is going through challenges that demand our collective prayers and actions, especially for peace and security. We must see our diversity as a source of strength, not division,” he stated.

The former leader also noted that the Eid-el-Kabir celebration serves as a reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to the common good.

He urged Nigerians to renew their commitment to safeguarding the country and building a secure, stable, and prosperous nation for all.

Jonathan concluded by praying for God’s blessings and protection over the country and its people.
