EFCC Releases Former Attorney-General Abubakar Malami After Hours of Questionin
Former Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after spending several hours in their custody.
In a statement he personally signed, Malami thanked Allah for what he called divine intervention. He said the interrogation went smoothly and confirmed that he had been released.
Malami added that he is scheduled to return for further questioning as the investigation continues. He also expressed confidence that the truth will eventually emerge, insisting that the allegations against him are fabricated.
