The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has cleared the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, of any involvement in its ongoing investigation into an alleged visa fraud scheme.
In a statement, the anti-graft agency said Nandap is not a suspect in the case and has not been implicated in any aspect of the investigation, dismissing reports linking her to the probe.

The clarification follows growing public speculation suggesting that senior officials of the Nigeria Immigration Service were being investigated over the alleged fraud.
The EFCC stressed that its investigation remains focused exclusively on individuals directly connected to the alleged visa scam, emphasizing that the Immigration chief has no case to answer.
It urged the public to disregard false and misleading reports implicating Nandap, reaffirming its commitment to a thorough, impartial, and evidence-based investigation.
The commission added that further updates would be provided as the investigation progresses.
