EdoGuber: Ize-Iyamu Quits Governorship Race

According to reports one of the governorship aspirant at the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Edo state, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has withdrawn from the governorship race after scaling through the pre-primary screening.

 

The third term governorship aspirant who was contesting under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC announced his withdrawal from the race on Friday February 16th.

 

While thanking his supporters for their show of solidarity and support, Ize-Iyamu noted that although painful, it has become imperative for him to withdraw from the race after exhaustive consultations from his friends, family, political associates and supporters.

 

In a statement made available to newsmen on Friday 16th February, the APC Chieftain appreciated the party’s National Working Committee for providing a levelled playing field to all aspirants.
