Edo Guber: I Totally Disagree With Obaseki’s Style Of Governance- Akpata

The candidate of the Labor Party in the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state Olumide Apkata has decried the level infrastructural decay in the state.

Apkata who stated this while speaking on AriseNews Morning Show called out the PDP led administration in the state for its lack of compassion and empathy in addressing the developmental challenges been faced by the people of the state.

He stated that the Governor Godwin Obaseki led administration in the state has failed, especially in the area of road infrastructure as evident in the governor’s resort to flying helicopter as opposed to plying the major roads in the state which are in a sorry condition.

The Legal Practitioner and politician stated that his relationship with the incumbent governor would not deter him from seeking the people’s vote to become governor stressing that he is in complete disagreement with the governor’s style of leadership.

He stated in parts; “He is my friend and my senior relative. But I totally disagree with his style of governance. There is no empathy, there is no compassionate in his government”.

While dismissing insinuations that he is an outsider and may have been oblivious to the challenges bedeviling the state, Apkata emphasized that being a bona fide native of Edo state, he wondered why such insinuations are being peddled adding that regardless of such, he looks forward to running an inclusive government if voted in as governor.
