Edo Election: N50m Cost Of Nomination Form Does Not Matter- APC

—

The Ruling All Progressive Congress, APC has revealed that aspirants who are truly willing to contest at the forthcoming governorship election in Edo state should only be concerned about the source of the money to obtain the nomination form and not the price.

National Publicity Secretary of the party Felix Morka who made this known on Arise News Television on Wednesday 17 January 2024, also revealed that the Party would adopt the direct primaries system ahead of the Edo state governorship election scheduled for September 2024.

Recall that the All Progressive Congress had earlier pegged the price of expression of interest and nomination forms for the September 21 Edo State Governorship election at N10 million and N40 respectively, bringing the total to N50 million.

The party had earlier announced February 17th as a day for the conduct of primary election to nominate a candidate out of about 29 of them wrestling for the governorship position. 18th of February has been slated for the primary election appeal while sales of forms commences on Wednesday, January 10 and ends January 29 at the APC National Secretariat Abuja.
