…Says with prevailing political indicators in the state, victory is sure for Asue/Ogie, PDP .

The Team Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor for Asue/Ogie, a formidable political pressure group, supporting the PDP candidates Asue Ighodalo and Osarodion Ogie for Governor and Deputy Governor respectively, has reiterated its resolve to use every legitimate and democratic means to assist the Edo state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ,  achieve electoral  victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.

The Group also called on the Professor Mahmood Yakubu led Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to live up its constitutional responsibility by conducting for the good people of the state, a free, fair and rancor-free governorship election devoid of manipulations and irregularities.

Team Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor for Asue/Ogie stated this via a recent statement signed by Delta State-born but United States of America-based Grand Knight Emeritus, Tonna Okei, who doubles as the Deputy National Coordinator of the political movement.

According to him, Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor, the Group’s National Coordinator is a very well foresighted and diligent technocrat committed to the Asue/Ogie political project in the state. He noted that with Dr Uyi’s unalloyed commitment, the movement is redefining political campaigns in the state through consistent and creative value-adding strategies. These efforts, he added, will definitely make the upcoming gubernatorial contest most favorable for the candidates of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

The statement reads in part; as a political movement rooting for the electoral victory of the Asue/Ogie joint ticket, we are not leaving anything to chance. With the great support from our National Coordinator who doubles as Convener of the Political Pressure Group and very influential member of the PDP’s Campaign Council in the state, the Group is taking every legitimate and democratic step to ensure victory for Asue/Ogie.

“We are working impressively to the admiration of all within and outside the party through our well-crafted issue-based campaign devoid of calumny and character assassination and our membership are creasing by the day. The group currently enjoys a national/international outlook as its membership cuts across Edo state to include people from other states- including worthy Nigerians resident outside the country’’

The statement further revealed that because of the Group’s understanding that ‘politics is local’, they are doing everything humanly possible to reachout, connect and bond with the people at the grassroots that happen to be in the majority with the significant voting strength.

As part of the Group’s efforts to empower the people of the state at the grassroots, the Asue/Ogie political project, Team Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor for Asue/Ogie, recently teamed up with the Benedicta’s Market Women Money, the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area, Princess Benedicta Attoh, to distribute N10, 000 each to traders in support of the vegetable, pure water, fufu, fish, grinding machines, hawking and other businesses they are engaged in.

The statement stressed that as part of the Group’s efforts to connect and empower the people of the state particularly  at the grassroots, the Asue/Ogie political project, Team Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor for Asue/Ogie, recently teamed up with the Benedicta’s Market Women Money, the Chairman of Etsako East Local Government Area, Princess Benedicta Attoh, to distribute N10, 000 each to thirty (30 people), amounting to N300,000, which was donated by Dr. Uyi Igbinadolor to traders in support of the vegetable, pure water, fufu, fish, grinding machines, hawking and other businesses they are engaged in.

While the statement, therefore,  charged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to be alive to its statutory responsibility of ensuring a free, fair and credible election, Tonna Okei, Ikuku Oma, whose father was a former Commissioner for Health in the now rested Bendel state, concluded that with prevailing political indicators in the state, it is abundantly obvious that victory is sure for Asue/Ogie and PDP as a party.
