Driver, Four Passengers Escape Death in Abuja Road Crash

Report coming in has it that a driver and four passengers travelling from Zuba to Garki Area 1 in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, narrowly escaped death when a car somersaulted on Tuesday, February 20th.

 

It was learnt that the accident occurred as a result of a multiple tyre bursts that led to the car somersaulting along Bernex Road.

 

It was gathered that the Mazda car with registration number SUL-819-MO was said to have carried 30 car batteries in the trunk.

 

Sources say, the survivors sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby health facility for medical attention.

 

While blaming the driver for overloading the car which resulted in the accident, one of the survivors, Mr. Gabriel Anakobe, said that that he boarded the car from Zuba to Bernex, not knowing that the car had loaded the trunk with used batteries.

 

He added; “I thank God for my life and that of other passengers. Although some of them sustained injuries, nobody died,”
