Reports have it that an attack on a mosque in eastern Burkina Faso has left several persons dead on Monday, February 26, 2024.
It was gathered that armed individuals invaded a mosque in Natiaboani on Sunday February, 25 2024 at about 5:00 am, leading to the dead of several people.
Sources say the victims were all Muslims, most of whom had come to the house for the morning prayer.
It was learnt that the incident occurred on the same day as at least 15 civilians were killed in an attack on a Catholic church during Sunday mass in the north of the country.
According to reports, the assailants targeted the village of Essakane, leaving 12 individuals dead on-site, while five others sustained varying degrees of injuries during the attack.
