Don’t Accept Things The Way They Are- Obasanjo Tells Youth.

Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo has charged the Nigerian youths not to accept things the way they are in the country. He revealed this on Thursday 30th November 2023 at the Emerging Political Leaders Fellowship programme organized by the Bridge Foundation.

While stressing the need for the young people to make those who need to be made uncomfortable, the elder statesman called on them to be positively disruptive in order to take over governance now.

“You are the leaders of today, if you don’t take it now, you will never get it. You have to be positively disruptive, don’t accept things the way they are. You need to make those who need to be made uncomfortable”.

He also admonished the youths not to lose focus on their political ambitions saying that the country can change for the better in two years if Nigeria gets it right with leadership.

Obasanjo maintained that Nigeria requires common security and shared prosperity, adding that citizens should learn lessons from the country’s history.
