When one looks at the war of words that rage presently among men of God, especially from the Pentecostal block, it saddens a mind that is truly Christian, seeking for that light that illuminates and brings understanding to the reality of who we ought to be, The Revealed Glory!
It makes sick this mind that seeks to know more, only to be thrown at their faces barrage of arrows of division, attack, maligning criticisms that suggest nothing but canality.
How did we get here? A place of shameless throwing of pebbles, lies and unhealthy defamation, turning Christianity into a theatre of Hollywood, Nollywood and soap Opera, where all manner of things in theatrical orchestration are on display in the name of the gospel.
More like party and club gatherings, where decency, decorum and values are mere exception, while the reverse is the rule.
At what point did we get drowned in these murky waters of politicization and merchandising of Jesus? When did we get to this depth of shame and emotional blackmail in the name of Jesus?
At what point did the name of Jesus become a brand name for miracles, signs and wonders that reflect everything but Jesus crucified?
At what point did we get to this level of degeneration? Using the name of Jesus for crazy, infantile, and shady things, hypnotising Christians, beaten flat already, rendered hopeless and helpless by the challenges of life, ready to hold unto anything, however “strawish” if only it promises hope, help etc the source however unchristian remains a desired unquestioned option for them.
