American superstar John Legend recently criticized former U.S. president Donald Trump, calling him a “tried-and-true, dyed-in-the-wool racist.”
Legend highlighted Trump’s history of racism, including reports of him excluding black people from his properties years ago.
He also expressed concerns about Trump’s views on race, suggesting that Trump believes in a hierarchy of humanity based on genetics. He pointed to Trump’s immigration policies as evidence of his discriminatory beliefs.
According to the music icon, Trump’s actions and comments reflect his deeply ingrained racism. Despite any claims Trump might make about his support for black communities, Legend believes Trump has done very little to support them and remains fundamentally racist.
Legend also criticized Trump’s immigration stance, noting that Trump’s preferences for immigrants seem to favor predominantly white countries.
With the upcoming U.S. presidential election on November 5th, Trump is set to face off against incumbent Joe Biden of the Democratic Party. This election marks the first rematch election in the U.S. in almost 70 years.
