Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Big N, has shared the harrowing details of how he narrowly escaped death after being attacked during a robbery in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The incident took place on January 12th when DJ Big N was on his way to a club with an acquaintance. They were ambushed by a gang of six armed men at a traffic light.
In the chaos, DJ Big N was shot in the leg while attempting to flee. The robbers stole his jewellery and valuables, totaling $114,000.
After being shot, he managed to make it back to the car, and the driver rushed him to the nearest hospital. Doctors later described his survival as “miraculous” because the bullet had passed through his leg, narrowly missing a major artery and bone.
In a post on Instagram, DJ Big N reflected on the life-altering experience, saying, “It turned into both the worst and most teachable experience of my life.” He credits his survival to divine intervention and his mother’s prayers.
The traumatic event has changed his outlook on life. He now feels more committed to living authentically and appreciating life without unnecessary stress.
