It was public expression of emotional agony and nostalgia, as celebrity, Derenle Edun poured out his heart on social media about how he sorely misses his departed close friend, Susan Oluwabimpe Harvey, popularly known as Goldie who would have been 31 years on October 23, 2013, had she not been snatched away into eternity by the inevitable hands of death.
In his tweets (@ DENRELE_EDUN, the energetic entertainer stated: “…today would have been Goldie’s 31st birthday! She was just the best. She really was! And no matter who you were, she always found something about you to connect to! Happy birthday.”
Derenle, filled with nostalgia, recounted some fond memories and pleasant times of when the late Goldie still had breath and full of life.
“Goldie always told me, ‘you will live a long life, but you will never grow old!’ In her usual teasing manner, she always said to herself Agba ti De o,” Said Derenle.
In an emotional farewell-birthday message, Derenle added: “the day which we fear as our last is but the birthday of eternity! Until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hands,” he tweeted.
It would be recalled that the late Nigerian R&B/POP singer and television personality, Susan “Goldie” Harvey, died on the 14th day of February, 2013, after returning home to Nigeria from the 2013 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, California. She was said to have complained of headache and was taken to a hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
