Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that authorities have reached out to him after he called on United States President Donald Trump and the international community to pay attention to the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
The News Chronicle recalls that Davido had raised concerns over the possibility of tension, intimidation and disruption during the election, urging relevant authorities to ensure a peaceful and credible process that allows voters to freely exercise their rights.
Following his appeal, the singer took to social media to disclose that he had been contacted, writing, “Dem don reach out ooo.”
He followed the remark with a warning suggesting that Nigerians would soon see how events surrounding the election unfold.
Meanwhile, Davido’s comments have continued to draw attention as political activities intensify ahead of the Osun governorship poll.
