Delta State Newly Elected Council Chairmen Get ₦14 billion

The Senior Special Assistant on media to the Delta State Governor Mr Ossai Ovie Success has said that the Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has saved N14 billion for the newly elected council chairmen to start fulfilling their campaign promises.

According to Ossai, Governor Oborevwori is an astute manager of men and resources as the N14 billion fund accruing to the 25 local councils in the state for the past three months will enable the council chairmen to fulfill their campaign promises.

Ossai highlighted the Governor’s management skills and transparency while praising the governor for ensuring the funds were not misused.

He emphasized that the Governor’s administration has not borrowed money in over a year, demonstrating prudent financial management.

“The N14 billion fund accruing to the 25 local councils in the state for the past three months will be made available to the newly elected council chairmen, enabling them to commence their duties and deliver on their campaign promises.

“This development is a positive step towards effective governance and development in Delta State,” he said.
