Delta Governor’s Aide Chides Priscilla Ojo, Husband for “Eating the Forbidden Fruit” Before Marriage

Aide to the Delta State Governor and social commentator, Ossai Ovie Success, has expressed mixed feelings over the pregnancy of Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, following her recent marriage to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux.
In a statement posted on social media, Ossai congratulated the couple but lamented that they did not wait until after marriage before “eating the forbidden fruit,” a phrase often used to refer to premarital intimacy.
“I’m thrilled that Priscilla and her husband Juma Jux are expecting a baby after three months of their marriage,” he wrote. “But I’m disappointed that they didn’t set a good example by waiting until marriage before starting a family.”
Ossai emphasized the importance of role models exhibiting moral restraint and serving as shining examples, particularly to the younger generation.
“As role models, I believe they should have shown restraint and waited,” he added.
Despite his disappointment, he extended his well wishes to the couple, noting that he remains happy for them as they enter this new chapter.
“In all, I am really disappointed,” he stated, before concluding, “Despite my disappointment, I still want to congratulate them on this new chapter in their lives.”
