Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has called on United States President Donald Trump to pay attention to the forthcoming Osun State governorship election.
Davido made the appeal in a post on his X handle on Tuesday, expressing concern over rising tensions and the possibility of violence, intimidation and disruption of the electoral process ahead of the poll.
The singer urged the United States and the international community to closely monitor developments surrounding the election and encourage relevant authorities to ensure that voters can exercise their constitutional rights without fear.

“There are growing concerns about tension and the possibility of violence, intimidation, or disruption of the democratic process. Osun people deserve to exercise their constitutional right to vote freely, peacefully, and without fear,” Davido said.
