Afrobeats star Davido added two customized Ferrari cars to his collection on September 16, 2026, days after telling an interviewer he had stopped buying vehicles for the year.
Davido posted photos of the Ferrari Roma and a Ferrari Purosangue on his Instagram story. Both cars were customized by VENUUM Black and are reportedly worth more than $4 million combined. He captioned the post: “Stock is boring.”

The full caption read: “Davido’s two brand-new customized VENUUM Black Builds, a Ferrari Roma and a Ferrari Purosangue. The two luxury cars are reportedly worth more than $4M combined. Matching baddies. Stock is boring.”
The Ferraris arrived shortly after Davido took delivery of a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 earlier in September. Before this, Davido listed his existing collection as three Rolls-Royces, two Lamborghinis and three Mercedes-Maybachs, eight cars in total.
He added that he planned to hold off on further purchases. “I’m done buying cars for the year; I’m more focused on my $70M house in Eko Atlantic now,” he said, referring to his property project in the Eko Atlantic district of Lagos. However, the Ferraris followed within days.
Content creator Carter Efe addressed the purchases in a video that spread on X on September 17. He said Davido’s pace of buying was making other musicians look unproductive by comparison.
“The way Davido keep buying cars these days this month, Davido keep buying cars everyday like a thief, he makes other artiste look like they’re not working, in my next life I want to come pls God let my dad be rich,” he said.
Carter Efe and Davido have a history of public goodwill. The content creator has previously credited Davido with providing him financial support, and Davido has separately warned him against commenting on singer Wizkid.

Some fans praised the Davido’s wealth, while others pointed out the gap between his stated plan to stop buying cars and his immediate purchase of two more.
Davido has not issued a further statement on the Ferrari purchases beyond his Instagram caption. His Eko Atlantic property remains listed as his stated priority for the rest of 2026.
