Dangote Refinery to Begin Nationwide Fuel Distribution August 15, Offers Free Logistics and Credit Support

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced it will kick off a major fuel distribution initiative on August 15, aimed at reshaping Nigeria’s fuel supply landscape.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the company said it will begin supplying Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel to marketers, petrol stations, manufacturers, telecom firms, aviation operators, and other bulk users nationwide with free logistics support.

To ensure seamless rollout, Dangote has procured 4,000 brand-new CNG-powered tankers and is investing in CNG “daughter” stations backed by 100 additional CNG tankers.

“This is part of our broader strategy to reduce logistics costs, improve fuel access, and promote sustainable energy nationwide,” the company said.

The refinery will also offer a credit facility: buyers of 500,000 litres can access another 500,000 litres on a two-week bank-guaranteed credit.

All sectors from telecoms to SMEs stand to benefit, as cheaper fuel is expected to reduce operating costs, fight inflation, and spur economic growth. The initiative is also expected to revive dormant filling stations, boost rural fuel access, and drive job creation.

Dangote commended the Federal Government for its support through the Naira-for-Crude scheme and aligned the programme with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Stakeholders can register between June 16 and August 15, including completing KYC requirements.

“Dangote Refinery is committed to delivering equitable, affordable fuel access for all Nigerians,” the statement concluded.
