Customs Boss, Adeniyi, Honors Ex-President Buhari and Emir of Daura

The head of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, recently visited two important people, former President Muhammadu Buhari and the Emir of Daura, Dr. Farouk Umar Farouk.

Adeniyi went to see former President Buhari first. He thanked Buhari for helping to create the Nigeria Customs Service Act, 2023, which gives the NCS more power to make rules that help the economy.

Adeniyi also talked about a recent trip he took to the border, where he followed instructions from President Bola Tinubu to return seized food trucks to traders.

He said, “I would like to assure you that we may continue to work for the peace, progress, and security of Nigeria, those key ideals that you have worked for, in all your years, in your career in the military, and what you did as president and now as a statesman.”

This was done to help ease economic problems in Nigeria. Adeniyi assured Buhari that the NCS is working to ensure food security in the country.

Former President Buhari appreciated Adeniyi’s visit and praised the NCS for protecting the borders, which is important for national security.

Next, Adeniyi visited the Emir of Daura, Dr. Farouk Umar Farouk, to strengthen the relationship between the NCS and the Daura Emirate.

Adeniyi talked about the NCS’s efforts to fight security threats like banditry and insurgency, and he praised the past leader of the NCS, Dikko Inde Abdullahi.

Emir Farouk Umar Farouk thanked Adeniyi for the visit and promised to support the NCS. He encouraged Adeniyi to stay strong in his job and not tolerate anyone who threatens national security or the economy.

As a sign of their strong connection, the Emir honored Adeniyi with a traditional title, ‘Mabuɗin Hausa’, and said he would officially give him the title later.

Adeniyi emphasized that visiting these important people shows how government and traditional leaders work together to make Nigeria safe and prosperous.
