Cultists Behead Man In Anambra, Play Soccer With His Head

Awka – Three persons suspected to be cultists were on Sunday evening shot dead and one of them beheaded at Otoko Awkuzu in Oyi Council area of Anambra State.

A viral video on social media yesterday, showed as the killers dragged one of the deceased and shot him in the belly.

Another of the victims was said to have been chased into a nearby bush where he was shot at close range.

One of the victims with dreadlocks, was dragged out of his car, shot at close range and beheaded by his assailants.

Earlier this morning, a video started trending where the head was brought to a square, where some suspected cultists used it to play soccer and made jest of him.

Unconfirmed information gathered by TNC correspondent in Anambra revealed that the victims were allegedly involved in the shooting of two men last week in Awka.

They were said to have gone to Awkuzu where they were hiding, when the rival cult group struck.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga said the state Commissioner of Police, CP Command Tony Olofu has ordered a discreet investigation on the shooting incident, which happened over the weekend.

“The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State command, CP Tony Olofu has ordered investigation on the shooting incident on 25/9/2021 by 4pm along Igbariam road.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that the shooting was as a result of two rival cult clash.

“Meanwhile Police Operatives have intensify patrol and surveillance within the area,” he said.
