The Commissioner of Police, Borno State Police Command, CP Naziru Abdulmajid psc, on Wednesday, 10th December 2025, convened a high-level strategic conference with the Command’s Management Team, Tactical Commanders, Heads of Departments, and all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) across the state.
The meeting comes ahead of the Local Government Elections scheduled for Saturday, 13th December 2025.
During the briefing, CP Abdulmajid charged all officers to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, neutrality, and discipline while performing their electoral duties.
He warned against any form of electoral malpractice or misconduct, stressing that any officer found wanting will face strict disciplinary actions.
The Commissioner also reassured residents of the Command’s commitment to ensuring a peaceful, safe, and orderly election. He urged citizens to come out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibilities without fear or restriction.
He further advised the public to remain vigilant and avoid spreading or falling for misinformation capable of breaching public peace.
To guarantee a smooth electoral process, the Command has deployed comprehensive security strategies, operational manpower, and enhanced surveillance across all local government areas in the state.
CP Abdulmajid reaffirmed that the Borno State Police Command is fully prepared to maintain law and order before, during, and after the elections.
