COVID-19: FG plans next line of action as Nigeria records 1182 cases, 35 deaths across 28 Nigerian States

A total of “1182 cases have been confirmed, 222 cases have been discharged and thirty-five deaths have been recorded in 28 states and the Federal Capital Territory” in Nigeria, according to a mini NCDC website for the COVID-19.

“On the 25th of April 2020, 87 new confirmed cases and one new death were recorded in Nigeria.

“One new state (Imo) has reported a confirmed case in the last 24 hours.

“The 87 new cases are reported from nine states- Lagos (33), Borno (18), Osun (12), Katsina (9), Kano (4), Ekiti (4), Edo (3), Bauchi (3), Imo (1)”, the site stated.

Also, “multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities”.

Meanwhile, the Federal and State Government are prepared for the next line of action in the fight against the pandemic in Nigeria.

The 36 State governors had earlier on decided to place an inter-state travel restriction and also the compulsory wearing of protective masks by citizens.

As the President prepares to make his speech at the end of the 14-day lockdown in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun and a possible extension, it is believed he would take into consideration the decisions made by the 36 State governors.
