The Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Friday, June 5, 2026, reserved ruling on the bail application filed by social media influencer Blessing CEO, whose legal name is Okoro Blessing Nkiruka.
Justice D.I. Dipeolu fixed June 9, 2026, for ruling after hearing submissions from the defense and prosecution.
The case is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Blessing CEO is facing a two-count charge of:
- Obtaining money by false pretense
- Stealing
The EFCC alleges she obtained ₦36,000,000 from a complainant between July 14 and July 17, 2024, under the claim of arranging a six-bedroom duplex for rent in Lekki, Lagos State.
The prosecution maintained that the matter is a criminal case and should proceed despite any appeal for repayment.
The defense informed the court that part of the money had been refunded and requested time to conclude settlement discussions. The court declined to terminate the case on that basis and instead reserved ruling on bail.
