Italian manager Antonio Conte has dismissed reports of advanced negotiations with clubs interested in appointing him, insisting that he will take his time before deciding on his next managerial move.
Conte has been linked with several clubs, including Manchester United and Juventus, amid speculation about his future following his successful spell in charge of Napoli.
However, the experienced tactician has clarified that no discussions have reached an advanced stage, stressing that he has yet to make a decision on when to return to management.
“My name has been linked with numerous clubs, but there are currently no negotiations at an advanced stage,” Conte said.
The former Napoli boss added that he would only consider returning to the dugout when the circumstances are right, explaining that his next career move would require careful consideration.
“Following wonderful and successful spell in charge of Napoli, I will take the time I need to consider how and when to return to management. It will be a carefully considered decision, one I will make when I believe the conditions are right,” he stated.
Conte also pushed back against reports suggesting that he had already made financial demands, requested complete control at potential destinations or raised concerns among clubs because of his strong personality.
“These reports are unfounded, as there is currently no concrete basis for such assessments,” he said.
The Italian further explained that any discussions over contractual terms, managerial authority and working arrangements would only take place if a concrete opportunity emerged.
He maintained that speculation about his demands and professional future should not be mistaken for established facts, leaving the door open for a possible return when the right opportunity presents itself.
Conte, who has enjoyed success in Italian football and the Premier League, remains one of the most prominent managers available for clubs seeking an experienced tactician.
