Despite not being a regular for the Three Lions of England, Chelsea star Cole Palmer has been named England Men’s Player of the Year for 2024 following his tremendous performances.
He received the most votes, ahead of his English teammates Jude Bellingham and Bukayo Saka, who finished second and third, respectively.
Palmer, 22, becomes the first Chelsea player to win the award since current Three Lions’ assistant coach Ashley Cole in 2010.
For the Three Lions, Palmer made his debut during their 2-0 win over Malta at Wembley in November 2023 and went on to earn nine caps, including five appearances at UEFA EURO 2024, scoring twice in that period.
He joined Chelsea in 2024 from Manchester City, and since then, he has proven to be one of the best players in the world. Since his arrival at Stamford Bridge, he has scored 31 goals and registered 20 assists for the Blues, which is the most goal contributions by any player since 2024.
