COAS holds eid-el-fitr Luncheon with troops in Niger State 

The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja , recently orchestrated a heartening Eid-el-Fitr Luncheon to honor the valiant soldiers of the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army, marking a delightful occasion amid the Sallah festivities.

 Although unable to attend in person, General Lagbaja ensured his presence was felt through the representation of Major General MLD Saraso, the Commander of the 1 Division.
 Held at the Forward Operation Base in Sarkinpawa, the luncheon served as a poignant gesture to commend the unwavering commitment of the soldiers in the relentless battle against insecurity, fostering a secure environment for the populace.
General Lagbaja, in his message relayed through Major General Saraso, emphasized the significance of the luncheon, aimed at acknowledging the remarkable efforts and sacrifices made by the soldiers of the 1 Division.
 Their dedication to upholding peace and security has been instrumental in safeguarding communities, thereby instilling a sense of safety and tranquility among the populace.
Furthermore, underscoring the army’s dedication to supporting civil-military operations and community development, the 31st Artillery Brigade undertook a commendable initiative to refurbish a block of classrooms at Dangulu Primary School.
This altruistic endeavor not only serves to enhance the learning environment for the local children but also underscores the army’s commitment to investing in the welfare and education of future generations.
The Commander of the 1st Division, recognizing the importance of education as a cornerstone of progress, pledged to further elevate the standard of the refurbished classrooms, ensuring an optimal learning environment conducive to academic excellence.
In a display of solidarity and cooperation, bags of rice were generously donated to the vigilant corps, which actively supports military operations in the area.
