Coalition Adopts ADC to Challenge APC in 2027, Names David Mark as Nat’l Chair

In a bold move to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2027, a coalition of political heavyweights on Monday, July 1, adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as its official platform for the upcoming elections.

The group is set to formally unveil the ADC today, July 2, at a ceremony in Abuja, where key interim leaders will be presented.

Former Senate President David Mark was named national chairman, with ex-Osun Governor Rauf Aregbesola as secretary and former Sports Minister Bolaji Abdullahi as spokesperson.

Prominent PDP figures, including Atiku Abubakar, Sule Lamido, Tom Ikimi, Aminu Wali, and Uche Secondus, attended the meeting, calling for a united front and criticizing both APC and PDP for failing Nigerians.

After a marathon meeting that stretched past midnight, the coalition signaled a serious bid to shake up the 2027 political landscape.
