CNN International Commercial and Dangote Industries Limited have announced a new global media partnership aimed at highlighting Africa’s industrial growth and the rising influence of its businesses in the world economy.
The partnership will feature a new half hour programme, Africa Inc., on CNN International, focusing on African companies making their mark across sectors including manufacturing, technology, hospitality and entertainment.
Hosted by Adefemi Akinsanya, the programme will premiere on August 29 and return with four additional episodes through 2026 and 2027.
The News Chronicle reports that the partnership will extend beyond television, with bespoke Africa Inc. segments appearing regularly across CNN International, CNN.com and CNN’s social media platforms.
CNN’s in house creative studio, Create, will also produce Africa First, a branded content series examining Africa’s push for greater energy independence and economic transformation, with Dangote Industries serving as a featured example.
The campaign will run across CNN International, CNN.com, CNN Arabic and CNN’s business focused social platforms, with selected content also appearing on CNN US.
Dangote Industries will further sponsor three editions of CNN’s Global Perspectives events over the next year.
The collaboration is expected to strengthen Dangote’s international brand positioning while giving global audiences greater insight into Africa’s industrial ambitions and economic potential.
