Civil Defence, Immigration Recruitment Reaches Final Stage – CDCFIB

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced that its ongoing recruitment exercise has reached the final stages and will be completed within four weeks.

The board disclosed this in a statement signed by its Secretary, Maj.-Gen. (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril, obtained by The News Chronicle on Friday, August 21, 2026.

The announcement comes amid growing anticipation among applicants who participated in the nationwide recruitment exercise.

According to the board, the large number of applications received across the country necessitated a thorough selection process to ensure fairness, transparency and merit.

“The large number of applications received across the country places upon the board the duty of ensuring that there is a comprehensive, just, and transparent selection into the services,” the statement said.

The CDCFIB explained that it deliberately avoided rushing the exercise to ensure that the recruitment complied with the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process and the operational requirements of the four services.

“It is the intention of the CDCFIB not to rush the entire recruitment process, but to bring it to completion without any prejudice to the principles of justice, merit, federal character, due process, and the operational requirements of the four services,” it said.

The board stated that the recruitment process had already taken place and was now at its final stage, which would be completed within four weeks.

“The recruitment process has taken place, and it has now reached its last stages, which will be completed within four weeks,” the statement added.

It further said successful candidates would be notified through the official recruitment platform after the process is concluded.

Candidates are expected to receive updates through the CDCFIB recruitment portal at recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

The board thanked all applicants for their patience and assured them that their patience would be rewarded upon completion of the exercise.

“We sincerely thank all candidates for their patience and we assure the public that the candidates’ patience shall surely be rewarded,” the statement said.
