A deal has been struck to bring the Netherland’s Marco van Ginkel , one of the finest emerging talents in Dutch football to Chelsea Football Club.
The €10m-rated youngster is a powerful, box-to-box midfielder, – whose contract expires in 2015. Ginkel is seen as an individual capable of holding down an influential role in Mourinho’s team at Stamford Bridge.
It’s been a rather remarkable season for Marco van Ginkel as he’s not only became one of the Eredivisie’s absolute star performers, but also made his debut for Netherlands’ senior side. The young midfielder impressed throughout the season with his energetic displays in the middle of the park and showed he’s not afraid to stick his feet in, while also offering plenty in possession.
The 20-year-old scored eight league goals and assisted eight more for Vitesse. This then made Chelsea more interested in signing the young star.
