Chelsea FC has unveiled the signing of 18-year-old Marc Guiu from Barcelona on a five-year deal, which includes a further one-year option. He will join his new teammates for pre-season, according to Chelsea.
“Chelsea is pleased to announce the signing of striker Marc Guiu from FC Barcelona.”
The striker expressed his joy after signing for one of the best clubs in England during his interview:
“It’s an immense joy to sign for Chelsea, and I struggled to sleep ahead of the journey here because I was so excited,” said the 18-year-old.
“Ever since I was small, it was my dream to play in the Premier League.
“Now I have the opportunity to come here to Chelsea, and I will work my hardest to be successful for the club.”
Guiu is a product of Barcelona’s academy and was given a taste of senior football last summer when he featured for the Catalans in a pre-season fixture against Vissel Kobe.
