Chelsea and Manchester United Held to Draws

—

Manchester United and Chelsea both played full-time draws this afternoon on Premier League matchday seven.

Manchester United secured an away point and a clean sheet at Villa Park against Aston Villa, although it was not an outing they would be proud of. Meanwhile, Chelsea were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea and Manchester United Held to Draws

Not the results expected at Old Trafford as the Red Devils’ struggles continue, having won just two games in all competitions this season. The Devils are languishing in the 14th spot on the table and do not seem to be showing signs of improvement anytime soon.
Chris Wood put Bournemouth ahead of Chelsea in the 49th minute of the second half, but Chelsea found salvation a few minutes later, equalizing through Noni Madueke’s brilliant effort, as both teams shared the spoils at full time.
Chelsea now sit behind Arsenal with eight points after the regular 90 minutes against Bournemouth.
