OpenAI announced that ChatGPT users can now access the web, expanding its data beyond the September 2021 cutoff.

This new browsing feature allows websites to control how ChatGPT interacts with them.

Browsing is initially available to Plus and Enterprise users and will be expanded to all users soon.

To enable web browsing, users can choose “Browse with Bing” in the selector under GPT-4.

OpenAI also announced an update allowing ChatGPT to have voice conversations with users and interact using images.

OpenAI had previously tested a Bing search engine feature in ChatGPT Plus but disabled it due to concerns about bypassing paywalls.

ChatGPT had rapid growth, reaching 100 million monthly active users in January, making it the fastest-growing consumer application.

OpenAI is reportedly in talks with shareholders about a possible sale of existing shares at a higher valuation than a few months ago, driving investor interest.
