Nollywood actor Charles Okocha has stepped up preparations for his highly anticipated celebrity boxing rematch against controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, by training alongside British heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois in London.
The actor shared a video of the intense training session on his verified social media page, showing him going through rigorous boxing drills as he gears up to reverse the outcome of their first encounter. Speaking in the video, Okocha expressed confidence ahead of the showdown.
“I’m out here training with the champ, Mr Dubois. Come July 31, it’s gonna be kill or be killed,” he declared.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the much-anticipated rematch, tagged “Unfinished Business,” is scheduled to take place on July 31 in Lagos.

The bout follows Okocha’s unanimous decision defeat to Portable in their first meeting, after which the actor activated the rematch clause in their agreement.
Okocha’s latest training camp has attracted widespread attention on social media, with fans and celebrities applauding his commitment and predicting a more competitive contest. Instagram user @authenticmuy wrote: “Go Man.”
Another fan, @el_breezy619, commented: “Naija boys are winning worldwide. Hope y’all know Dubois’ mum is Nigerian.”
Actor @kinglemuel99 also praised Okocha’s progress, saying: “Your straight punches are getting better, keep it up.”
Before linking up with Dubois, Okocha had earlier shared videos of himself training with Nigerian-born heavyweight boxing prospect Moses Itauma as part of his preparations.
Portable, meanwhile, has also intensified his training after suffering defeat in a recent celebrity boxing contest against skit maker Carter Efe. Reports indicate that the singer has recruited respected boxing coach Taiwo Agbaje to sharpen his skills ahead of the rematch.
With both entertainers investing heavily in their preparations, fans are eagerly anticipating another explosive clash when they square off later this month.
Celebrity boxing has continued to grow in popularity in Nigeria, attracting musicians, actors and social media personalities while blending competitive sport with entertainment.
