Nigerians should be allowed freely to choose their leaders.
No intimidation.
Intimidation is crime to democracy.
Characters like Sego are not permitted in a decent democracy.
This is not just our campaign anymore. Human rights legend Barr. Femi Falana, SAN, has echoed it — word for word, spirit for spirit.
Two days ago, Falana, who spent years in detention fighting military so we can have democracy, warned in a viral video:
_”Warning to all the candidates: Get ready, form groups to defend the votes of everybody in Lagos. Because going by what happened in the last election, violence will be introduced & we didn’t fight for this rickety democracy where anyone can be asked not to vote.”_
Falana said what we have been saying in WITNESS 2026/2036: In Lagos 2023, citizens were stopped from voting because they looked Igbo. They were told “go back to your state.” That is not democracy. That is rickety democracy. That is what we fought military to end, now returning through backdoor of Agbero politics.
He added: Those who cannot win elections resort to violence, thuggery.
Sir — Who cannot win election with ideas? Sego.
Sego GLE 350 with NURTW 001 plate is symbol of that failure. When you cannot win with manifesto, you win with intimidation. You park luxury SUV at polling unit, with special number plate, with boys, and message is: “Vote who we say or else.”
In a decent democracy, that character is not permitted.
In Canada, Federal Court in 2025 ruled APC and PDP engage in acts that amount to terrorism under Canadian law — violence, coercion, subversion of democratic process. In Nigeria, our own Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 defines same: intimidation for political purpose is terrorism.
So when Falana says defend votes, he is saying defend democracy against political terrorism.
My SEGO Test has always been simple:
Professor with small car = Ideas
Agbero with luxury SUV and special number plate = Intimidation on wheels
A decent democracy chooses ideas over intimidation. It chooses professor over Sego. It chooses Conscience over coercion.
This is why Falana’s warning is timely for 2027.
2027 must not be repeat of 2023. Falana says candidates must form groups to defend votes of everybody in Lagos, regardless of party, regardless of tribe. Not groups of thugs — groups of citizens, lawyers, mothers, students, who will stand and say “Let every Nigerian vote.”
Because what happened in Lagos can happen anywhere. Today it is Igbo told not to vote. Tomorrow it can be Idoma, Ijebu, Yoruba who does not support Sego. Intimidation is virus — it does not stay in one tribe.
WITNESS 2026/2036 says 2027 must be election of ideas, not election of Agberos. Falana has validated it with SAN authority.
Therefore, I propose 3-point WITNESS Compact against intimidation, inspired by Falana:
1. No Intimidation Pact: All candidates in Lagos must sign that no one will be prevented from voting because of tribe, language or face. INEC must publish offenders.
2. Citizens Defence Groups:As Falana said — form groups in every polling unit to defend vote of everybody. Photograph results. Upload. Resist.
3. Electoral Offences Commission: Senate passed bill since 2021. House has blocked. Why? Because Sego characters profit from rickety democracy. We must demand passage before 2027.
Characters like Sego, are not permitted in a decent democracy. Decent democracy does not permit GLE 350 with NURTW 001 to intimidate voter. Decent democracy does not permit asking citizen not to vote because he is Igbo.
Nigerians should be allowed freely to choose their leaders. No intimidation. Intimidation is crime to democracy.
Falana has spoken. SEGO campaign has been echoed by SAN.
If we defend vote of everybody in Lagos, and others, we defend Nigeria.
