American rapper Offset was shot on Monday evening outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, authorities and a spokesperson confirmed.
The artist, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, sustained injuries described as not life-threatening. He was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition under close monitoring. Further medical details were not disclosed.
The Seminole Police Department said the shooting occurred in a valet area at the casino. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and secured the scene.
In a statement, police said, “The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”
Two individuals were detained at the scene. Police have not released their identities or confirmed whether charges have been filed. The motive for the shooting has not been established.
A spokesperson for Offset confirmed the incident, stating that the rapper is receiving medical care and is being closely monitored.
Offset is a member of the rap group Migos, known for songs including Versace and Bad and Boujee. He was previously married to Cardi B, and they have three children.
The investigation remains ongoing.
