Captain America star Chris Evans, 42, has married his girlfriend, Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, 26, in an intimate ceremony on September 9th at their home in Massachusetts.
The couple, who have been dating for over a year, were joined by their closest family and friends for the celebration. They were also joined by some of Evans’ Marvel co-stars, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Elsa Pataky, John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, and Jeremy Renner.
While the two never publicly shared their plans to marry, Chris hinted earlier this year about another hope for the future, telling E! News, “I would love to have kids. But having a dog is certainly a good litmus test of how you handle responsibility.”
A source told People magazine that the wedding was “beautiful and intimate” and that the couple “looked so happy.” Page Six reported that the event was “locked down tight,” with guests signing NDAs. As well as handing over their phones before the nuptials.
Evans and Baptista first sparked dating rumors in November 2022 when they were spotted holding hands in Boston. The couple made their relationship Instagram official in January 2023. The following month, Chris posted a series of pictures and videos of himself and Alba in honor of Valentine’s Day.
An E! News source in January said that Evans and Baptista are “very happy together” and that they are “very compatible.” The source added that Evans is “very protective of her” and “really enjoys spending time with her.”
Baptista is best known for her role as Keira in the Netflix series “The Witcher.” She has also starred in the films “The Lost Daughter” and “Infinite.”
