The Niger State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed condolences to Governor Umaru Bago and the people of the state following the tragic fuel tanker explosion at Dikko Junction, near the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, which claimed several lives on Saturday.

In a statement on Sunday, CAN Chairman, Most Rev. Dr. Bulus Dauwa Yohanna, assured the governor that the Christian community in the state stands in solidarity with him during this challenging time.
“We are deeply saddened by this devastating incident and share in the grief of the state government and families affected by the tragedy,” said Yohanna, who is also the Catholic Bishop of Kontagora Diocese.
He described the explosion as tragic and unfortunate, sympathizing with the governor and the families of the victims. Yohanna also prayed for God to grant eternal rest to the deceased and a quick recovery to those injured.
The CAN leader praised the state government’s efforts in responding swiftly to the emergency and providing support to the affected families and those receiving treatment.
